Local MP, Alun Cairns, is encouraging local residents to get involved with the ninth Vale of Glamorgan Walking Festival. The event kicks off this Tuesday with walks from 1.5 to 8 miles around the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan. There are different start times, locations and terrains so the programme offers something for everyone.
Vale MP, Alun Cairns, himself fitness fanatic, having recently completed his seventh London Marathon and a regular participant at local Park Runs said of the Walking Festival
“The Vale of Glamorgan Walking Festival is a fantastic series of walks suitable for all different fitness levels as well as families to take part in. With the weather so glorious this week, what a great opportunity to see our beautiful surroundings on foot, getting some fresh air, whilst burning a few calories at the same time!
Thank you to the Trustees and volunteers who make this great event possible each year, and for all their hard work during the year. I very much hope that all the walks will be well supported.”
