Saturday 7 October saw Barry Rotary Club host a fundraising coffee morning and promote the Message In a Bottle Campaign.
The All Saints Church Hall was filled with rotarians sheltering from the inclement weather with a coffee and a slice of cake.
The coffee morning featured a cake stall, book sale, raffle and live music from band the Double Tops.
The Message in a Bottle campaign encourages people to store their medical details in a designated bottle in their refrigerator, in order that it can be accessed quickly by anyone attending to the individual if they have been in an accident.
Attending was local MP Alun Cairns who said, “Message in a Bottle is a great initiative that could potentially save lives. I support the Barry Rotary Club in their promotion of the campaign and wish to congratulate the group on a very successful coffee morning.”
