Vale MP Alun Cairns joined the committee of St. Canna’s church in Llangan at an open day to mark the recent building improvements, and view registers and artefacts detailing hundreds of years of history in the village. The records will be managed by a newly launched group, Friends of St. Canna, based at the church.
Mr Cairns said: “I knew that Llangan, like many surrounding villages, had a great deal of history – but I was pleasantly surprised to see so many artefacts on display. The church has been beautifully restored in recent years, and it was fascinating to see the results of the archaeological work in the church grounds.”
