Last week, Vale MP Alun Cairns joined Welsh Wildlife Trust beachcombers in Llantwit Major as they taught children and parents about life in rock pools.
The Nature Walk, organised by the trust to spread education and appreciation of local wildlife, was a great success with children as young as seven identifying distinct species of crab using fact sheets provided.
Vale MP Alun Cairns, praised the work of the Welsh Wildlife Trust, saying, “It was great fun to explore the rock pools with the children, organisers and parents in Llantwit Major.
“I certainly learned a lot about local wildlife and gained new appreciation of the variety of creatures that surround us here on the coast.”
