Vale businessman Ian Hunt is in the running to receive a lifetime achievement award for his work in Llantwit Major town centre. The Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) are searching for the UK’s best employers, including individuals who have dedicated years of their lives to building and nurturing businesses in their local community.
The nomination recognised Mr Hunt’s work to renovate Llantwit Major town centre, developing the Poundfield Shopping Centre and saving the local Post Office from closure. In addition, Mr Hunt has introduced pop-up shops to enable small businesses and start-ups to build on their popularity.
Vale MP Alun Cairns who nominated Mr Hunt for the award said, “Ian is a real champion of the local community. The lifetime of work which he has put into reviving Llantwit town centre is remarkable and widely appreciated by residents and visitors alike.
“It was a pleasure to nominate him for the award and I sincerely hope that he will be recognised on this national platform.”
