Llancarfan Flower Arranging Group met this Saturday to make and prepare a selection of hand-made Christmas wreaths. The wreaths have been made to order, with over 80 already being purchased by members of the surrounding community. At £20 per wreath, the money raised will be donated to Bobath Therapy Centre for children with Cerebral Palsy.
The group, run by Mary Grey, met at the Llancarfan Village Hall, with mulled wine, mince pies and a selection festive treats were available throughout the day and the members arranged the wreaths whilst listening to a playlist of Christmas hits.
They also received a visit from local MP Alun Cairns who joined in with the wreath-making. He said, "After the group's fundraising success last year, I was delighted to hear that they would be engaging in further wreath arranging this Christmas. Watching the skill and care that goes into the design of these wreaths, it is easy to see why these decorations are highly popular with residents. Congratulations to Mary and the group, not only for hosting a truly fun-filled festive day, but also for supporting a thoroughly deserving cause."
