Vale MP Alun Cairns has been working with the chosen developers, who's plans to develop Nell's Point changing rooms have been revealed.
For over a year, Alun Cairns MP has been discussing the merits of investment in Barry Island with developers Morse Affiliated.
The Vale of Glamorgan Council have recently chosen developers Morse Affiliated to convert the premises. The designs for the project have been revealed and show the current vacant building is set to receive a new lease of life.
The building, which dates back to the Victorian era, will be developed into four high quality restaurants.
The Vale MP recently introduced Mr James Morse to local supporters of Barry Island, to discuss the project.
Mr Cairns says "The new plans to transform the old changing rooms into a high calibre restaurant complex are very exciting, they are certainly a step in the right direction to rejuvenate such a great part of Wales.
"I was delighted to have had the opportunity to introduce James to many of the biggest supporters of Barry Island to discuss the ambitious project.
"I believe it will make Barry Island more appealing to locals, visitors and attract even more tourists from across the UK and abroad too.
"Everyone knows about the Island's potential and I am glad to be working with those who are helping it become a year round destination".
