Ewenny Community Council will re-develop a small park as a play, recreation and social space for the whole community. £9,799 Lottery money has been granted to fund the new playground equipment.
Thanks to National Lottery players many of our communities have been able to adapt during the challenging year. National Lottery Wales has distributed over £4.7m to communities in Wales since the start of 2022.
Alun Cairns MP met Community Councillor Will Bailey at the playground in Corntown to discuss the funding and see how the new equipment will make a great difference to the community. Alun commented, "This is fantastic news and the National Lottery are a great source of funding for projects like these. I am sure the families in Corntown and Ewenny will greatly welcome this funding and it should be in place before the summer holidays!".
