Wednesday 12th April saw a packed Pioneer Hall for the Friends and Neighbours Easter Party.
The event, which included lunch and lively entertainment, was very well attended with over 50 present. Many of those attending brought homemade bonnets for the parade, where prizes were won for the best sewn garment.
Judging the bonnet parade were Rt Hon Alun Cairns MP and Jane Hutt AM. Speaking of the party, Mr Cairns said, “Of all the local Easter celebrations, the Friends and Neighbours party is certainly one of my favourites. With a delicious lunch, excellent entertainment from Barry Male Voice Choir, a bonnet parade and a raffle, the afternoon was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Congratulations must be given to Gay and the tireless volunteers for putting on yet another fantastic event!”
