Llantwit Major Town Twinning Association has successfully held a relaunch event at Llantonian Hall, after being dissolved six years ago. The revived Twinning Association held a "Café Jumelage" Coffee Morning, hosted by their new committee which is headed up by Chair Kelly Marsh and Secretary John Deakin.
Town Twinning Committee Secretary John Deakin said:
"We were delighted to see so many people of all ages at the "Café Jumelage" Coffee Morning on Saturday, the attendance exceeding all of our expectations. This has given the committee the motivation to take the project forward and foster renewed relations with Le Pouliguen.. We now intend to have a stall at the Llantwit Major Victorian Fayre on Saturday 22nd June to make even more people aware of our ambitions for the future. It is our intention to begin recruiting members in the near future and those interested can contact either myself at [email protected] or the Chair, Kelly Marsh at [email protected]"
Vale MP also attended the relaunch and commented:
“The turnout for the relaunch of the Twinning Association was absolutely fantastic. I pay tribute to everyone who has worked to bring this together, particularly the Association Chair Kelly Marsh and Secretary John Deakin. It’s clear to see the massive support they have in the community and I look forward to learning more about how they will strengthen ties with Le Pouliguen.”
