The Christmas Light display outside Stewart Road Community Centre in Rhoose was vandalised on Sunday evening. The display has been up since the 4th December when a Christmas fayre was held in the village.
Alun Cairns MP has alerted South Wales Police and the Chief Inspector for the Vale of Glamorgan Arabella Rees is investigating.
Alun stated, 'this is totally awful behaviour from the vandals, I have therefore alerted South Wales Police and hopefully a thorough investigation can find the vandals who committed this selfish crime.'
'I was at the event when the display was unveiled and it holds a place in the hearts of the community in Rhoose. I believe a fundraising page has been set up to pay for the repairs and new display caused by the vandalism.'
