Vale MP Alun Cairns attended the opening of ‘Jump Jam’ a new trampoline park near Troes on the edge of the Vale of Glamorgan on Saturday. The indoor trampoline park, replete with climbing walls and the biggest stunt airbag in the UK represents a £1m investment in the area.
Mr Cairns was keen to praise the scale of the investment for the Western Vale as well as the health benefits of using the site for children and young people.
The MP said, “Jump Jam represents one of the biggest investments in the area in recent years and I’m sure it will prove to be one of the most popular. I certainly enjoyed trying it out. The features inside the park aren’t limited to trampolines, there are foam cube pits to joust over like gladiators and platforms from which to jump on to some of the biggest airbags in Europe. Children at the site while I was there were also enjoying a rock climbing and abseiling race down one of the walls.
“I’m sure Jump Jam will not only prove to be one of the most fun attractions for young people in the Vale, but one of the healthiest. You can burn up to a 1,000 calories an hour on the trampoline. Despite my recent marathon run, I felt the benefit of the exercise after just a few minutes.”
