Terry Griffin, at the age of 91, has been honoured by his fellow Cowbridge choristers for his commitment to the town’s Male Voice Choir. A certificate was presented to Mr Griffin to celebrate his membership which has spanned over two decades.
Mr Griffin is known well in Cowbridge not only for his musical talent, but also for his deep knowledge of horticulture having served as an expert at the Vale of Glamorgan Show on numerous occasions.
The certificate was presented to Mr Griffin at the choir’s annual concert, in Cowbridge Leisure Centre.
Attending the concert was Deputy Mayor for the Vale of Glamorgan, Cllr Leighton Rowlands, who said, “It was astonishing to learn of the commitment which Mr Griffin has shown to the choir. Both music and his community clearly hold a very special place in his heart.”
Vale MP Alun Cairns added, “Congratulations to Terry for serving so many years to this fantastic choir. At every performance and meeting of the musical group, his personality never fails to shine through!”
