Boverton Post Office will be undergoing an exciting programme of investment and transformation, with the aim of making the branch more modern and convenient for customers.
The Post Master, Vasantha Vithiyathran, and her family moved to area in May of this year from London, in order to take over the Boverton Post Office. The branch, which now employs nine members of staff, will be undergoing the improvement work in November, which will result in longer opening hours and an open-plan style service point.
Upon meeting with the Post Master to discuss the plans, Vale MP Alun Cairns said, “I am delighted that Boverton’s Post Office branch will be undergoing improvements.
“It was a pleasure to meet with Vasantha and hear of the work which she has undertaken to improve the branch since she took over in May. A reliable postal service is vital for local businesses as well as residents, and I therefore have every confidence that these further changes will be welcomed by the regular customers of the branch.”
The branch may need to close for up to seven days while the refurbishment takes place. Further notification is expected from the Post Office should this be the case.
