Hundreds of runners laced up their trainers on Sunday 15 October for the annual Cowbridge 10K race.
Runners from across the Vale, including the Seriously Mad Runners of Barry, the Major Milers of Llantwit Major, the Cowbridge Under-15s rugby team and local primary school children competed in the three fun runs which took place over the Sunday morning.
Competing in the 10K race and awarding trophies to the winners was six-time marathon runner and local MP Alun Cairns who said, “Congratulations to Anne Birt, Denise Aplin and all of the volunteers who made this fantastic event possible. It was wonderful to see runners of all ages and abilities taking to the course for the 10K, 5K and 1K races. The beautiful Cowbridge scenery made the route a pleasure to run and many runners were amused by the cattle and other animals who featured along the way. Cowbridge 10K was a thoroughly enjoyable event and I look forward to next year!”
