Vale MP Alun Cairns this week visited the Old White Hart to welcome new publicans Jay and Kelly Jones to Llantwit Major.
Jay and Kelly Jones have taken over management of the pub, which was recently awarded with the Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA) Award for ‘the most improved pub in Wales’. The couple have big ambitions for the Llantwit Pub and are seeking to re-establish it as a family-friendly hub for the community. Mr & Mrs Jones explained to the MP that they are looking to hold events for the community throughout the year, such as fundraisers and fun-days.
Mr Cairns congratulated the new publicans on the improvement work that had already taken place. He said “It is fantastic to see two forward-thinking, determined individuals like Jay and Kelly take on the challenge of turning around a much-loved rural pub.
“I wish them the very best of luck for the future of the pub and trust that residents and visitors alike will enjoy the newly revamped Old White Hart!”
