Barry business ‘Spectrum Collections’ has earned international recognition for the quality and popularity of its vibrant makeup brushes, tools and accessories.
The family business, owned by sisters Hannah and Sophie Pycroft, provides cosmetic tools for some of the UK’s leading makeup artists and has been featured on globally broadcasted show ‘Britain’s Next Top Model’.
The vegan cruelty-free brand, which has caught the eye of bloggers and influencers the world over, is currently situated in the BSC building on Barry’s waterfront. However, due to an increase in demand for their products and their requirement for new staff, they are now looking to expand to larger office space. The Pycroft sisters are keen to keep operating the business in their hometown, however they are experiencing difficulties in accessing suitable office space within Barry.
Vale MP Alun Cairns visited Spectrum Collections to congratulate Sophie and Hannah on their recent success in winning the award for Best Family Business at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards. He said, “It is fantastic that local businesses such as Spectrum Collections are putting Barry on the map!
“Through the sheer hard work that has gone into building this brand, the business has expanded so considerably that they are now seeking larger office space. As the local MP, I am determined to assist them in their search for an office in Barry, so as that they can continue to create employment in the area. Independent businesses are an invaluable asset to any community – I want to ensure that the Vale’s are supported in any way possible!”
