Residents have been in touch about the terribly poor standard of the facilities at Colcot Sports Centre as the football seasons starts again - including no running water (hot/cold) for showering or for drinking, a broken heating system, match officials forced to use the ladies toilets and it being in generally poor condition.
These facilities need to be kept up to a certain standard and this current quality certainly falls below that. The Sports Centre is used regularly by those in Barry and across the Vale and its an important facility that needs to be maintained.
I’ve written to the Vale Council to ask that these issues are addressed as a matter of urgency, as the current state is unacceptable.
If there are other sporting facilities in the Vale that you know of, that are also in disrepair and need maintenance, please let me know and I will happily raise this with the Vale Council.
